I Am – the music

The air is fresh and the warmth of the early morning sun reminds me that I am loved by something much greater than I could ever imagine.

As I walk, the music plays loudly in my ears and momentarily the escape is magnificent-deeply connected.

The magpies rest-one for sorrow, two for joy and the blackbirds politely help themselves to the newly grown blackberries on the hedgerow.

People pass and nod their head in greeting and smile ever so graciously, how lovely.

It seems that there is a natural order to life and when you slow down, you notice it.

I am grateful for this moment.

I am grateful to be alive.

I am the music.

  1. A bunch of us have started praying this month, to counteract all the negativity and division in the world right now. Each weekday has a focus (yesterday was arts, media, entertainment, and sports), so I didn’t expect to get an email for suggestions this morning, but I did! It’s suggestion is to pray about ourselves, and be reminded at how much God loves each of us. That sure echoes your first sentence!

I don’t think a link is allowed here, but just googled We Agree to Pray Project (Mitch Matthews) and it pops right up.
